Monday –

  • Quick Write – How do I compare to my best friend?
  • Research Day / Gathering Mythology Information.

Compare and Contrast: How does one version of the myth differ from the other…?  What is the main difference between the versions of the myth?

  • Report Writing Lesson

7.4.4 Use strategies of note-taking, outlining, and summarizing to impose structure on composition drafts.

Homework – Report Writing

 

Tuesday –

  • Turn in Report Writing HW
  • Acuity Study Day (Independent Assignment Completion)

7.6.1 Properly place modifiers (words or phrases that describe, limit, or qualify another word) and use the active voice (sentences in which the subject is doing the action) when wishing to convey a livelier effect. “Clear: She left the book, which she bought at the bookstore, on the table. “Unclear: She left the book on the table, which she bought at the bookstore. “Active voice: The man called the dog. “Passive voice: The dog was called by the man. 7.6.5 Demonstrate appropriate English usage (such as pronoun reference).

Homework – Finish up any mythology research needed to complete group or individual projects.

Wednesday –

  • Quick Write – Contrast two of your favorite foods.
  • Production Day – Using Mythology Information to produce museum exhibit and individual project.  In class work day.

Thursday –

  • Mini – Lesson / Review Sentence Types

Adverb and Adjective Clauses

  • Writing Workshop

Final writing workshop for current writing assignment.

Homework – Finish writing assignment to be handed in tomorrow at the start of class, Sentence / Clause packet.

Friday –

  • Turn in Sentence / Clause HW
  • Review next week’s lesson plans.
  • Presentation Construction / Practice
    • Presentations will begin next Tues. and run through Thursday.
    • Rehearse, Practice, Rehearse, Practice

Homework – Finish any preparation needed to present mythology presentations next week.  Monday will be a rehearsal day only.
